Best current player title has got to go to Shohei, but Judge is the best hitter and it's not particularly close. There was a time last season when I thought all of the attention on Ohtani might provide some good buying opportunities for Judge's cards, but as your charts show they just kept on moving higher regardless. I guess another MVP and a strong post season performance will tend to do that!
Agreed. We think we’ll see some buying windows in the future. But with baseball hype at its peak just before the start of the season, it doesn’t feel like the time right now.
Barring injury, next December or January might be the next window as more collectors are focused on NFL and NBA.
I think that’s insane honestly, and i don’t mean that in a mean way I mean it in a way that there is nothing to show he is better than judges. Ohtani is also on the bad side of 30 with a history of injuries (21 injuries since coming over l). His hitting is so inferior to judge it’s really hard to state. He has the benefit of being on a team owned by a private equity subsidiary, that the media have united to push because he brings mlb more money via Japan fans, and the team he is on got a rule made just for them where they get an extra pitcher than every other team. He’s very good but he’s one of the most overrated players I’ve seen, but I just don’t value the two way bit as much as others as I think it hampers his potential on both ends.
