1. Sponsor. This giveaway is run by The Hobby Wire (thehobbywire.com) (the “Sponsor”). Questions can be sent to thehobbywire@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 or older at the time of entry. If the potential winner is under the age of majority in their state of residence, a parent or legal guardian must confirm eligibility and accept the prize on their behalf. The Sponsor, members of the Sponsor’s household, and anyone involved in producing The Hobby Wire are not eligible. By entering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Entry Period. The giveaway begins on October 20, 2026, when The Hobby Wire’s giveaway announcement is published, and ends November 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT (the “Entry Period”).
4. How to Enter.
Subscriber entry: Anyone with an active free or paid subscription to The Hobby Wire at the end of the Entry Period receives one (1) entry automatically. Current subscribers don’t need to do anything. To enter, subscribe for free at thehobbywire.com.
Referral bonus entries: Earn one (1) bonus entry for each new subscriber who signs up through your personal referral link during the Entry Period, up to a maximum of ten (10) bonus entries. Sign in and visit thehobbywire.com/leaderboard to find your link. Referral totals are based on Substack’s referral tracking at the end of the Entry Period, and the Sponsor’s records are final. Referrals the Sponsor believes are fake, self-referred, or made only to gain entries may be removed.
Limits: Maximum of eleven (11) total entries per person. Entering more than once by using multiple email addresses, fake accounts, or any other method will result in disqualification.
5. Prize. One (1) winner will receive one (1) factory-sealed 2025/26 Topps Basketball Target Exclusive Black Friday Blaster Box. Approximate retail value: $85. Pack contents are random, and the Sponsor makes no guarantee about specific cards. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash. Shipping is free. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.
6. Odds. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Drawing. On or about December 1, 2026, the Sponsor will randomly select one (1) potential winner from all eligible entries using a random number generator. Each eligible entry will be assigned a number before the drawing. The total number of entries and the drawing result will be shared with subscribers. No entrant names or email addresses will be published.
8. Winner Notification. The potential winner will be notified by direct message from The Hobby Wire’s official Substack account and by email from thehobbywire@gmail.com. The potential winner has 72 hours from notification to reply with a US shipping address and confirmation of eligibility. The Sponsor may request reasonable proof of eligibility before awarding the prize. If the potential winner does not respond in time or is found ineligible, an alternate winner will be drawn. The Sponsor will never ask for payment, card details, or shipping fees. Any message saying you’ve won that comes from any other account or address is not from The Hobby Wire.
9. Publicity. With the winner’s permission, the Sponsor may announce the winner’s first name and last initial in The Hobby Wire.
10. General Conditions. The Sponsor may disqualify any entry it believes is fraudulent. The Sponsor may cancel or modify the giveaway if it cannot run as planned, to the extent permitted by law. By entering, participants agree to these rules and release the Sponsor from liability related to the giveaway and the prize. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
